We are an affiliate gym with Adopt-a-Cop. Adopt-a-Cop's mission is to address critical gaps in the department-funded training of front line police officers by partnering with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gyms across the country to provide free or reduced rate memberships to police officers. 
***MEMBERSHIPS ARE $50 PER MONTH. Officers are sponsored until they achieve the rank of blue belt, which typically takes 12-18 months. (After blue belt membership is $135 for LEOs and COs).

Police officers often find themselves in volatile situations which can quickly turn deadly. In these combative situations, being the more skilled grappler allows the officer a greater amount of control over the situation, which decreases the likelihood of injury or death for both officer and suspect.

Being a police officer is one of the most selfless, dangerous, and important jobs in our world today.  Investing in our officers is an investment in our communities. Adopt A Cop BJJ aims to create a more resilient and more effective police force, improve police relations around our country, and ultimately reduce the incidence of police-involved shootings and deaths.

WE DEFY provides combat veterans coping with military connected disabilities a long term means to overcome their challenges through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and fitness training. SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
All veterans applying for scholarship must meet the following criteria:
1.  Must be a veteran who served in an area of combat operations.
2.  Must be separated/retired from active duty status. Current and former members of the National Guard or Reserves may also apply if they meet all other listed criteria.
3.  Must be a disabled combat veteran (mental or physical) with a 80% or higher disability rating.
4.  Must provide proof of honorable discharge from military service DD214.
5.  Must provide VA entitlement/rating letter.
6.  Must be willing to commit to training at least a minimum of two times per week at a We Defy Foundation Approved Training Facility for the duration of one year.
7.  A Special Criteria Waiver exists on a case by case basis for unique circumstances (e.g. training accident, sexual assault, other circumstances related to military service).
8. Must be new to Jiu Jitsu, i.e. less than one year of training.
