The owner and lead instructor of Primata BJJ is Professor Paulo De Oliveira who is a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He trained in Sao Paulo, Brazil and received his blackbelt in 2014 from Rodrigo Brinco (Brinco 13) who trained under Roberto Godoi. 

Professor Paulo De Oliveira is an expert in the application of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in realistic self-defense from a career working as private security in Brazil. He has extensive experience in multiple martial arts including Muay Thai, kickboxing, and Kung-fu but holds the sport of Jiu Jitsu in the highest regard. With over 22 years of training BJJ and 16 years of teaching BJJ, his commitment is to teach BJJ as it was meant to be taught in the spirit of the tradition.
