Over the past 10 months, training at Primata BJJ has been nothing short of life-changing. As someone who has spent years dedicated to bodybuilding and powerlifting, I thought I had a solid understanding of my strength and discipline. But stepping onto the mats at Primata BJJ opened my eyes to an entirely new level of self-discovery and growth.
Jiu Jitsu has challenged me in ways I never expected. It’s pushed me to step far outside my comfort zone, both physically and mentally. The techniques, the discipline, the focus—it’s all been a revelation. I’ve learned so much about myself, not just in terms of my physical capabilities but also my mental resilience.
While bodybuilding and powerlifting have their merits, Jiu Jitsu has been 1000 percent better for me. The sense of accomplishment I feel after each session, the camaraderie with my fellow practitioners, and the constant drive to improve are unparalleled. It’s not just about strength; it’s about strategy, patience, and understanding my own limits—and then pushing beyond them.
Primata BJJ has truly transformed my perspective on what it means to be strong, both inside and out. I’m incredibly grateful for the journey so far, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next.
Absolutely wonderful, my son loves his classes! Source of great structure, morals, self discipline and consistency. Coach Ashley and her husband Professor Paulo are both just amazing instructors with lots of patience. A great sense of accomplishment for the kids! Great for all ages too. When my son started, he had never done martial arts, so I booked him some private lessons with Coach Paulo in addition to the regular scheduled classes, just to give him a jump start. The private instruction was incredible and my child was able to learn one on one from a high level black belt and he quickly was able to apply those skills in group classes.
Great training gym! Ashley and her husband Paulo are friendly and professional. They are subject matter expert at their craft. They will train with you till you quit on every session 🥋
Our kids have been students for about a month. I am blown away by the amount of one on one attention all the students receive from the professors and coaches .
